INFINITIX Achieves Success in Asian AI Market and Completes Series A Funding Led by Zero One Technology

2021.07.19

In March, INFINITIX completed its Series A funding and officially announced the successful round after finalizing the equity arrangements. The round was led by Taiwan's top IT distributor Zero-One Technology Group (stock code: 3029), with participation from Precision Venture Capital and additional investment from the INFINITIX team.

In 2017, INFINITIX secured $1.4 million in a Pre-A funding round, led by HeTong Venture Capital and angel investors, which led to the establishment of the Cayman-based company and the rebranding of INFINITIX to focus on the Asian market. In 2018, the company launched the AI-Stack machine learning development and operations platform, marking its entry as a software product company focused on container technology and AI, leading the next generation of intelligent multi-cloud and hybrid cloud management platforms.

Initially, INFINITIX concentrated on multi-cloud/hybrid cloud platform development, becoming a pioneer in the Asian market with the launch of the CloudFusion multi-cloud/hybrid cloud management platform. This platform provides enterprise clients with efficient management and rapid scheduling of various cloud resources. In collaboration with the National Center for High-Performance Computing in 2017, INFINITIX launched Taiwan's first GPU Cloud-TWGC, and later introduced the AI-Stack platform, aimed at reducing barriers to AI deep learning computation and deployment. This enables enterprises to accelerate AI adoption and create a competitive advantage through continuous innovation.

In late 2019, Zero-One Technology signed an agency agreement with INFINITIX, recognizing the company’s technological advantage and product development potential. As NVIDIA’s Taiwan distributor, Zero-One Technology is deeply invested in the value-added collaboration between AI-Stack and NVIDIA’s hardware and software solutions, enhancing IT management efficiency and maximizing the benefits of GPU resources.

Zero-One Technology stated, “After INFINITIX became our agency brand, it brought synergistic effects to several brands we represent. With the development of AI, cloud, big data, and 5G, INFINITIX’s products and technologies help industries rapidly adopt AI PaaS and support efficient development of various AI applications. This strategic investment aims to offer diverse solutions, stay ahead of trends, and enhance customer value. We are very optimistic and excited about INFINITIX’s future.”

INFINITIX has garnered numerous awards for its product development, and is recognized in Taiwan’s well-known startup accelerators, including Cloud Leopard Incubator, Orange Fab Accelerator, IAPS NCTU Industry Accelerator, and Accenture’s AI+ Generator. Its technologies have gained attention from global tech giants, earning recognition from NVIDIA’s Inception Program and Intel Data Center Builder. Founder Chen Wen-Yu is also the founder of the OPEN INFRASTRUCTURE TAIWAN A-TEAM (OITA Alliance), a fourth-phase entrepreneur of the AAMA Taipei Cradle Program, and an active participant in the OPENSTACK DAY TAIWAN COMMITTEE. He regularly speaks at cloud computing conferences at universities, including National Sun Yat-sen University, National Chiao Tung University, Yuan Ze University, and Chaoyang University of Technology.

INFINITIX has been active in the AI market, starting with AI-Stack's market debut in 2019. By 2020, AI-Stack began to shine in the Taiwanese market, adding 20 successful clients, including universities, government departments, public utilities, and semiconductor design companies. This year, the company continues to expand into the manufacturing, finance, and healthcare sectors. Currently, INFINITIX is the market leader in Taiwan for AI PaaS products. In 2021, the company gained significant recognition in overseas markets, particularly in Asia, achieving impressive results.

In 2021, in addition to strengthening its domestic and international distribution network, INFINITIX collaborated with leading global tech companies to launch the AI-Stack appliance, reducing barriers to AI GPU use and offering more accessible entry-level machines. The company also partnered with AI application and storage companies to provide integrated hardware and software solutions, such as the AI-Stack Appliance with Sightour AI-OCR, and worked with GRAID Technology to create the next-generation AI-in-a-box product. INFINITIX is gradually expanding its market presence and ecosystem.

Despite the pandemic, Nvidia’s revenue performance and global demand for GPUs continued to grow. According to Nvidia’s FY2021 report, the company’s data center revenue grew by 124% in 2020, reaching $6.7 billion. The A100 AI data center GPU has gained popularity with cloud service providers and vertical industries worldwide. INFINITIX’s AI-Stack, aligned with Nvidia’s DGX POD reference architecture, is currently the leading product in Taiwan for managing most Nvidia DGX servers.

Looking ahead, INFINITIX continues to deepen its presence in Taiwan while expanding into markets in China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. Through strategic partnerships and distribution efforts, the company is successfully launching its products in various countries. INFINITIX has already integrated AI-Stack with storage solutions from SMI Wisdom and AccelStor in China, achieving successful cases. In Southeast Asia, INFINITIX is working with Malaysian partner Flexinfra to localize AI-Stack and offer AI Platform as a Service for GPU leasing. The company plans to expand into Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, with further developments in Japan and India, with more exciting announcements expected in the second half of the year.
